World Without Orphans (WWO) is a global movement that unites leaders from churches, NGOs, governments and businesses with a vision: a world where every child grows up in a safe and loving family.
Its history began in Ukraine in 2010, when the Ukraine Without Orphans initiative was created. This model became a source of inspiration for the creation of similar movements in different countries of the world.
In November 2012, during the Transform World Global Challenges Summit in Indonesia, delegates from 15 countries formed the WWO international facilitation team. From that moment, the movement began to scale at the global level, and since 2013, national Without Orphans initiatives began to appear in different countries.
Today, WWO is active on all continents, supporting learning communities that develop and implement effective family care strategies, prevent institutionalization, and strengthen families and communities.
The organization aims to address the root causes of family separation—such as poverty, conflict, and the absence of support systems—by promoting practical and spiritual solutions that strengthen the social fabric of society.
WWO also calls upon and supports national leaders in developing local solutions to overcome orphanhood and protect vulnerable children through partnership, training, and the exchange of experience.
