The Mentorship Association of Ukraine is the first professional union in Ukraine that brings together organizations and specialists who systematically develop mentorship for children and youth at the national level.
The organization was founded in August 2018 at the initiative of leading non-governmental organizations from Ukraine and the United States that had experience implementing original mentorship programs.
The mission of the Association is to be a driving force and a guarantor of quality in mentorship programs, building a strong bridge from a generation at risk to a generation of opportunity.
The Association strives to ensure that every vulnerable child or young person in Ukraine has a trusting relationship with an adult mentor who helps them grow personally, overcome challenges, and become a successful member of society.
Key objectives of the Association:
• Uniting the efforts of interested parties to develop and implement mentorship programs
• Promoting mentorship and providing informational and consultative support to organizations
• Protecting the rights of children and youth, especially orphans and those from crisis-affected families.
Mentorship focus areas:
• Corporate mentorship for at-risk teenagers
• Individual mentorship for children transitioning out of institutional care
• Mentorship for young mothers — supporting girls raising children on their own
• Family-based mentorship — assisting children living in families facing hardship
The Mentorship Association of Ukraine acts as a reliable platform for the formation of a professional community and standards in the field of mentoring, providing a systematic approach to the development of children and youth regardless of circumstances.
