The charitable foundation Heritage was established in 2007 with the aim of supporting orphans and families in difficult life circumstances. From a small volunteer initiative, the team has grown into a large-scale organization that serves a wide range of vulnerable population groups.
The foundation is a participant in the Odesa Without Orphans movement, which brings together organizations, churches, and initiatives to promote family placement for children and prevent orphanhood in the region.
Goal -To create a safe environment for dignified living, development, and recovery.
Mission - Protection, support, and integration of vulnerable population groups through the provision of humanitarian, psychological, medical, and social assistance.
Vision - Ukraine where every person has access to safety, decent conditions and opportunities for full participation in society.
Key Development Stages:
At the beginning, the foundation focused on monthly visits to orphanages and organizing camps for children. Later, the annual LELA Camp appeared, which, before the full-scale invasion, hosted up to 600 children for the summer, and over 400 volunteers participated in the service.
2015 — The foundation established its own base and launched the JOY! day center for children with autism, as well as the JAM center for children from at-risk families. Since 2022 — In response to the full-scale war, the foundation significantly expanded its activities:
- Evacuation of civilians from frontline areas
- Provision of humanitarian aid
- Organization of temporary shelters
- Psychosocial support for vulnerable groups
- Support for local community initiatives within the SCLR (Supporting Community-Led Response) approach
In 2023, the foundation was actively involved in providing assistance to those affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam by Russian forces:
- Supplying humanitarian resources
- Coordinating efforts with local communities
- Supporting evacuees and internally displaced persons
In the coming years,Heritage will focus on stable, long-term support for those affected by the war, including:
- Assistance to internally displaced persons
- Support for families in crisis, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities
- Development of inclusive centers and programs for children with special needs
- Restoration of children’s camps and educational programs
- Strengthening psychosocial support and mental health services
- Expanding participation in community-led initiatives focused on self-help and sustainable development
