A Family for Every Orphan (AFFEO) is an international Christian organization that has been working in Ukraine since 2010, helping orphans find safe, stable, and loving families in their home countries.
The organization works with dozens of local partners across Ukraine, providing emergency humanitarian assistance to children and families, as well as support for emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.
AFFEO’s work encompasses three key areas:
Protection – promoting the implementation of legislation and policies that ensure the right of every child to be raised in a family.
Prevention – strengthening families in crisis and vulnerable situations to prevent children from entering institutional care.
Training – providing training, support and resources for adoptive parents, guardians, foster families and social workers.
As part of its work, AFFEO implements a number of practical initiatives, including:
- training specialists and mentors to provide quality support to children;
- developing cooperation between churches and communities in the field of helping orphans;
- providing psychosocial support to children and adults who have experienced traumatic experiences;
- helping families meet basic needs through sustainable farming projects (greenhouses, firewood, poultry houses, etc.).
AFFEO is focused on creating an environment where every child has a chance to live a fulfilling life in a caring family.
